Estradiol is identified as the most important form of estrogen produced by both men and women in the body. Most of it is made and released from the ovaries, adrenal cortex, and the placenta. A high level of estradiol may be a sign of an ovarian tumor, while a low level of it may be due to Turner syndrome, ovarian failure, or low estrogen production related to rapid weight loss or low body fat. In male, the normal level of estradiol is at 10 to 50 picograms per milliliter (pg/mL), and in female, it should be 30 to 400 pg/mL (premenopausal) or 0 to 30 pg/mL (postmenopausal). Other common symptoms of estradiol imbalance in men and women include mood swings, sleep disturbances, uterine bleeding, decreased muscle strength, decreased mental clarity, and hot flashes.
TestCountry offers Estradiol (E2) tests to help you determine if the symptoms you are experiencing is associated with the abnormal levels of your estradiol. Although some of the symptoms could be a sign of other health problems, testing for estradiol imbalance provides you information you can possibly discuss with your physician to obtain prescribed treatment. The hormone imbalance tests are safe, easy to use, and provide accurate results in just a few days from the date the accredited lab received your specimen sample.
