Our maternity tests are fast, accurate and painless.
When the maternity of a child is in question, TestCountry's maternity test can provide the definitive answers a family needs. Maternity testing is useful in a number of different situations, including:When an adopted child and an adoptive mother are reunited after years of separation and would like to confirm their biological relationship, when a mother who conceived a child through in vitro fertilisation would like to confirm that the proper embryo was implanted into her uterus, wWhen a family or hospital staff person fears that baby switching has mistakenly occurred in the hospital nursery.
Our test kits come in two Forms:
Home Testing: Our Home Maternity test is similar to a Paternity Test, but determines the probability that a woman is the biological mother of a child. DNA samples can be taken from just the alleged mother and child, but may also include the father.
Legal Testing: To be court-admissible, maternity tests must be backed by proof of the identities of the test participants and a chain of custody of the samples collected (provided by a witness). We now offer a court-admissible version of our Home Test Kit for a small additional charge; this test qualifies as an American Association of Blood Banks AABB accredited test.If you think that you may need to use the results of a test in court proceedings, then you should choose this home kit option.
Our maternity Test kits are:
- Easy to Use: Samples are obtained from the child and the alleged mother (the father's participation is optional, but strongly suggested).
- Accurate: Guaranteed results. 99.999% accuracy guarantee for inclusions; 100% for exclusions. We perform thousands of DNA Parentage Tests for clients in the United States and around the world.

A maternity test is used to conclusively determine if an alleged woman is a biological mother of the subject or not. The maternity relates with the match of child's DNA marker patterns with those of the mother. Results of a maternity test may be used to prove the maternal relationship in immigration or adoption cases. Maternity tests usually are often performed using a Chain of Custody, a documentation process that makes the test results legally admissible. This test is also done in some cases to ensure mothers or hospital staff who suspect that a mix up has occurred between babies in the nursery, to ensure a reunion with the correct biological parents. It is also done for mothers who have conceived by in vitro fertilization and who wish to check if the embryo is actually her own. The home maternity test can be performed with great ease and convenience without compromising on accuracy, speed and confidentiality. A considerable statistical matching in marker patterns gives confirms the identity of the biological mother.
