Body Balance Sleep Check Test
The Body Balance Sleep Check Test Kit is an easy-to-use and reliable kit that
measures the level of melatonin in your system to help determine your sleep patterns and whether or not you're getting a
full night's sleep. All you have to do is collect a sample of saliva, send it in
to our lab by means of the return mailer provided and you'll receive results
within 7-10 business days.
Melatonin is a substance secreted by your body that
plays a role in several areas such as cardiovascular function and female
reproductive hormones, but its primary function is in controlling your quality
of sleep and the regulation of your circadian rhythm. Circadian rhythm is the 24-hour cycle of
sleeping and waking your body experiences based on patterns of light and dark.
Normal melatonin levels are highest during the night, when you're sleeping,
because there is less light. Exposure to light decreases melatonin secretion,
explaining why you are not as sleepy during the day as you are at night. Without
proper melatonin secretion, your circadian rhythm is off-balance, affecting your
night's sleep.
This test can detect your melatonin levels and help you get on the path toward a
better night's sleep.
A good night's sleep helps
keep your body in rhythm, allowing you to feel your best. Without it, your body
doesn't function as well as effectively.
Ever have times when you're not sleeping well? Maybe it's caused by stress,
shift work, a general lack of time. All you know is that you are not sleeping
very well and in turn, you're not thinking as clearly and sharply as you did
before. Physically, you're drained, unmotivated to do anything other than
getting through the day. A hormone called melatonin may affect your sleep.
SleepCheck measures the level of melatonin in your system. Although it plays a
role in many other areas of your body, such as cardiovascular function, female
reproductive hormones, and as an antioxidant, melatonin's primary contribution
is to your body's ability for quality sleep and the regulation of your circadian
rhythm. Circadian rhythm is the 24-hour cycle of sleeping and waking our body
experiences based on the patterns of light and dark. This noninvasive and
inexpensive screen provides the accuracy of a laboratory analysis without you
having to leave the comfort of your own home.

Salivary Hormone Health Screens Salivary hormone screens provide a direct link to hormone levels without the inconvenience and expense of blood collection. Saliva screening is a simple, noninvasive method to determine your hormone levels. A saliva sample will reveal the level of "free" or "unbound" hormones in the system - the actual active form of the hormone that brings about responses within the body.
