Hanna Low Range Nitrite Water Meter (meter only)

This Hanna Low Range Nitrite Water Meter is used to measure nitrite content in water samples in the 0.000 to 0.600 mg/L range. The health effects of nitrate in individuals vary on the dosage and the level of exposure to the chemical. According to the EPA, the major source of nitrite in drinking water are runoff from fertilizer use; leaching from septic tanks, sewage; and erosion of natural deposits. This nitrite meter device uses an exclusive positive-locking system to ensure that the cuvette is in the same place every time it is placed into the measurement cell. Each HI 96707 nitrite water test comes with Two Sample Cuvettes and Caps, 9V Battery, and Instruction Manual to walk you through the testing procedures.  

Nitrites are an intermediate product in the nitrogen cycle and are produced by ammonia oxidation with water, or even originate in industrial waste directly. High level of nitrite in drinking water may pose some health hazards; therefore, must be monitored as necessary.
