Detailed Description

Early detection is the key to preventing kidney disease. There are no symptoms in the earliest stages, so it's vital to test for microalbuminuria on a regular basis. According to the American Diabetes Association (ADA), 20%-30% of individuals with diabetes develop kidney disease. The ADA and the American Kidney Foundation recommend that any person who has had diabetes for more than 5 years or who is past puberty be tested for microalbuminuria annually. The KidneyScreen-At-Home test is a convenient mail-in laboratory test for measuring microalbumin levels in the urine, which is the proven way to detect kidney dysfunction early enough to avoid developing kidney disease.

With Kidney Screen At Home you can collect a urine sample in the privacy of your home. The Urisite collection paddle allows you to mail your sample to the laboratory in a dried state. It will be immediatly processed and the results will be mailed to you and your authorizing physician (if requested).
