Twin Zygosity Home Test (Blood) - Buccal or Legal versions are also available Our Twin zygosity tests are
fast,
accurate
and
painless
and can be tested at any age.
Approximately one in every sixty births results in the delivery of
twins.
Twins are either dizygotic (fraternal) or monozygotic (identical).
Fraternal twins
are the result of two different eggs being fertilized by two separate sperm
and resulting in two completely distinct and separate pregnancies in the
womb at the same time. The DNA profiles for
fraternal twins will not be identical, and they are just like full-siblings
that are born at different times
Identical twins
are the result of one egg fertilized by a single sperm.
The DNA profiles for identical twins will be
identical. Additionally, the physical attributes of identical twins will
also be similar.
Our
test determines whether siblings are fraternal or identical twins or
siblings.
The
cost of our service includes two children but you may add more as needed;
like a third sibling. Parental samples are optional; if provided, paternity
and/or maternity can also be verified.
