Kratom Test - At-Home Self Collection Lab Test
Kratom urine drug test is a self-collection test designed to detect the use of Kratom (Mitragyna speciosa). Using the collection kit and supplies provided you can collect urine sample and send the urine sample to the laboratory for testing.
Kratom is not a synthetic drug, but rather an herbal drug. Kratom contains alkaloids including mitraphylline, mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine. These alkaloids act as mu-opioid receptor antagonists. Due to this function, kratom is used as an alternative to opiates for those people suffering from opium dependence.
As of 2012 Kratom is not a federally-regulated compound. The Drug Enforcement Agency considers kratom a drug of concern. The urine laboratory test for kratom is a screen and confirmation procedure quantifying the main active ingredient in kratom, mitragynine. The procedure also qualitatively detects the presence of the related compound and metabolites 7-hydroxy mitragynine, 9-O-desmethyl mitragynine and 17-O-desmethyl-16,17dihydro mitragynine.
The cut-off for this Kratom urine test is 1.0 ng/mL.
The testing method for this test utilizes state of the art high performance liquid chromatography - tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) and high performance liquid chromatography quadrupole linear ion trap techniques.
